Black Teas

The wonders of black tea include:

– Strong heart health – it can actually aid in the prevention of heart attacks;
– Increases bone density; and
– Kills bacteria in the mouth that can prevent cavities and fight bad breath.

English Breakfast: (1H-A) Strong and simple; 100% pure China Black (Keemun).

Organic China Breakfast: (2R-A) A thick bodied, sweet malty flavored organic tea from one of China ’s premier tea gardens. Why drink an ordinary breakfast blend when you can experience a truly superb single garden breakfast tea that has enchanted kings, queens and commoners.

Irish Breakfast: (3H-A) Strong and malty; 100% Assam tea.

Orange Pekoe: (4H-A) A staple; basic Black tea derived from a blend of strong Assam
and smooth Ceylon .

Decaffeinated Pekoe: (5H-A) Black tea with caffeine removed; a strong depth of flavor.

Darjeeling Blend: (6H-A) Blend of first flush and autumnal teas from the best gardens.

Organic Assam: (7H-A) From the Sewpur Tea Garden with a sweet honey flavor.

Mao Feng Black: (8SV-C) A fine tea from China ’s Fujian rovince . (Karen’s favorite)

Assam-Satrupa Estate: (9SV-C) If you like our Organic Assam, we are offering an alternative from an estate located in the eastern-most region of Burma . With a cocoa-like aroma, this tea yields an abundantly full flavor and strong malty taste.

Kenya-Keteada Estates: (10SV-C) Our only black tea from Africa; in the Keteada Estates small farmers have banded together to produce teas at altitudes of 6,000 to 7,000 feet. The jet-black, medium, twisted leaves have a fresh "from the garden" aroma and yield
a rich, full-bodied, fruity, nut-like taste.

Organic Darjeeling 1st Flush: (11R-B) “First flush” is the first harvest of the year; soft with slightly flowerly and fruity notes of Muscat grape with nuances of green and black tea.

Organic Darjeeling 2nd Flush Muscatel: (12R-B) Known as a “Second Flush”, this tea is made with the new growth tips of the tea plant a few months after the first harvest, possessing a fully ripened Muscat Grape and wild flower notes.

Organic Golden Yunnan: (13R-A) This certified organic black tea is made from the ancient trees of Jingmai Mangjing; this beautiful black tea has big golden buds, uniform shaped leaves and a wonderfully full flavored body.

Organic Keemum Golden Buds: (14R-C) This tea is composed of hand harvested, sprouting tips of the tea plants. The infusion is bright and full-flavored with rich notes of sugary dates and pine. The tea has it all; strength, body, aroma and a mild astringency complimented by the remarkable pine lingering not found in other Keemun teas.

Red peony: (15S-C) A rare China black tea made from tender young leaf buds which, after going through the process of black tea production, are carefully sorted and then hand tied to form the shape of a flower. During the infusion the rosettes slowly open up to resemble a "Peony". The flavorful and aromatic infusion has a light, natural sweetness and faint biscuity notes.
